Need or want?

During another coffee session with Yanli and Lijuan, the following question popped out. Do we need someone or want someone? Yanli and Lijuan said that they need someone but I think otherwise. At least at this point in time, I think I want someone to want me and not need me.

What the heck. Does it matter?!
