Road trip

Been out of action for some time cos' I juz got back from my road trip to Kota Bahru! Took leave so that EL and I could spend his birthday out of Singapore, so we decided to drive up to Kota Bahru. Here are some photos! :)

Mersing

This is some beach resort at Kuala Rompin. EL said they shld name it as The Last Resort cos' it was really ulu!! We drove about 10km from the main road, into some kampong road. I was so worried that we'll kenna mugged and killed and nobody will ever find us for the next 10 years!! Anyway, anyone who wants to stay at this resort must be damn desperate - or they shld name it - Your Last Resort.

We stopped by some roadside stall for a cold drink. I was curious what Air Nira was, and it was this brown liquid in this plastic bottle. One Msian car stopped and the driver told me that it's from the flower of the coconut tree. Anyway, it was horrible!!!!! It has a little alcoholic taste to it and tastes as bad as it looks. Yikes!!

EL said he miss eating te bak, so we had lunch at Chinatown whilst passing through Trengganu.

We visited EL's primary school in Kota Bahru

Stayed at Hyatt, Kuantan on our way back. Service's pretty good but the room was quite a disappointment.

We drove around to find a nice beach to take photos...ended up on this one - Beach of Whispering Breeze. Phiangz!!! Dunno how on earth they came up with this name....
