We have all grown up

Liqing, Cizhen and I are good friends, tracing all the way back to secondary school. Back then, we wore huge specs with thick frames, and were the wallpapers in class. I think we look much better now. Haha. :D

We used to guess who would be the first to get married etc. Seems like Liqing's the first! Now I wonder who's 2nd. Hmm...

Married again

Who gets to marry twice with the same man? My friend does! Anyway, here's me at her Singapore wedding. Nice right???? Dear missed the wedding cos' he's down with flu but glad that he's recovering cos' he spent the evening sleeping at home instead. Now that he's well already, he's at American Club watching soccer match. Duh.

Now still slogging in office and took 5 mins off to complain that I'm still in the office. Heading home NOW. As usual, I wanna dedicate this special line to everyone back here "SCREW YOU GUYS! I'M GOING HOME!"

My friend got married

Ya...all the fuss is over. My friend is married. I think the excitement comes from preparation for the wedding, then in a while, it was all over. They are married and have all the legal rights to have sex. Opps.

I remember when I was much younger and Tut and co. and I used to sit around cafes talking about life, romance, marriage and stuff. one of the common consensus was marriage was just a legal means to have sex. Come to think about, these days, you don't need to get married to have sex. Then get married for what?

Hmm. Good question. Need to be very clear about this point. Consider the following arguments :

1) Start a family - "families are the building blocks of society" (quote unquote from some Sociology textbook). It is pro-social and hey, most people dunno how to get things started, so why not get married to kick things off?

2) Please your family - imagine being pregnant in an Asian society without being married. Brings nothing but shame to the family. Anyway, any normal parents would want to see their kids grow up, get a job, then get married.

3) His money is my money, my money is still my money. I like this idea. Period.

4) [Damn it...I lost my train of thoughts cos' I thought my tour bus bringing the rest of the tour people from the mountains is back, and I was frantically waving. I'm not exactly excited to see them or anything. Just that the rest of my luggage is actually on board the tour bus. Just FYI, we broke off from the main group for 2 days to attend my friend's wedding, so now we are rejoining the group again. Cos' we had to take their public transport - KTX train, to save the trouble of having to heave bulky luggage up the train, we carried only the important stuff with us to Daegu (got the name of the city right. Yay!) Now we're back in Seoul.)

Anyway, since I lost my train of (pro-social, family builing) thoughts, I might as well talk abit on my observations here. 5* hotels are not that bad deal actually. The 5* hotel in Johor was like crumbling and falling apart. The 5* hotels here are like - you seen one, you've seen them all. Perhaps it is characteristic of 5* hotels to have a "waterfall" landscape feature facing the cafe/restaurant in each hotel. So far all of 'em have it.

Observation no. 2. Most Korean men look alike. That brings me back to the previous para whereby I was frantically waving at the tour bus with the Chan Brothers sign in front, when the my-tour-guide-look-alike hopped off. Malu.

Observation no. 3. People here seem unapologetic when they accidently bump into me. Strange. Talk about personal space. Bleah.

Observation no. 4. Korea is a beautiful country actually. Very clean too! Maybe because all that we have been visiting are the touristy places. Haha...especially Jeju Island! Really nice place...

Observation no. 5. Korean food is really healthy. Hardly any oil!!! I like Korean food! Yum yum!

Ok, now the right tour bus is back and the people on board just waved at me. Great! My luggage is back.

In Korea

Wa...very stressed to blog in Korea cos' it's bloody expensive sia!!! Everything here bloody expensive!!! Internet access costs about $1.50 for 10 mins. Might as well go rob.

The trip's kinda fun. I think Chan Brothers' tours not bad ah...so far we've been staying in 5* hotels, eat good, sleep good, play good..especially the eating part. Slurrrpppp.....I like Korean food. :D~~~~~

I won't bore everyone with what I did here lah. Some highlights, first day went to their theme park. Wah seh!!! I sit the roller coaster until first time I stepped out of the roller coaster feeling faintish. Think age is catching up. This morning flew from Jeju Island to Daego (dunno how to spell but who cares what it means anyway). Tomorrow going to meet up with my friend and going to break off with the group for 2 days to attend her wedding.

So exciting!!! My friend of 1..2..3....14 years getting married!!! In Korea somemore!!! So cool!!! Anyway, to prepare you, my friends....hahahahahaha.....maybe my turn soon!!!

Ya ya....me me....the couldn't give a damn about marriage, savings and whatever one. Dear and I discussed lah...he not young leowz also. Juz haven't decide when... First things first, I go back to Singapore, we get a dog together. He say dog also consider a family member. hahaha.... Like what Tut always say loh...get simi 2 dogs, half a cat and whatever, so we'll get 1 dog...

Anyway, I juz read ah bui's blog. Waliew eh!! Ah Bui's CEP high loh!!! Increment higher than others by $200-300 leh!!!! My one hor....see already hor...might as well heed dear's advice - "mai zo liao...". Anyway, I've been really thinking lah...Korea so bloody big, bus rides so long...so plenty of time to think. Maybe I shld really consider mai zo liao...but don't work so bored right... Be tai tai also nobody to go out with me sia...

Still got a few more days to think. Stuck in CWP for so long leowz...and still dunno need to stuck for how long. Especially my CEP not high. Think about it really mai zo liao... Work until 5am also dunno for what. My boss also don't care. I care for what? At the end of the day, go back so tired. Dear see already keep telling me mai zo...next day crawl to office and same thing happens. Espcially these days hor, workplace really suck blood. Might as well stay home, adopt a few more dogs and earn good kharma. Really hor...this thought is tempting... Hmmm.....

In conversation

Dear : One of these days we go and watch the (something something) Mozart, want?

Me : Wad????

Dear : (something something) Mozart.

Me : What's that?

Dear : (explained some stuff which I didn't register anyway)

and the conversation continued...

Me : So you play any musical instrument?

Dear : Ya.......I play the violin.

Me : Wa!? Don't look like it!!!! Anything else?

Dear : Ya...and the piano cos' you need to learn the (something something) in order to play the violin.

Me : (speechless)

Dear : What you think I only know how to cycle is it?

Me : Ya!! (speechless again...)

Sometimes in life hor, don't ask too much for something. You may just get it. I asked for one who can outshine me in all ways. Now I've found one who outshines me in every way I can think of and makes me feel like I'm so bloody incompetent. But I'm really amazed with dear! He said last time he's a bookworm! Wah...bookworm go pubbing....interesting!!

What I really want to say

2.30am - still in office.

8.30am - Attending "7 habits of highly effective people"

Dr Steven Covey, I need 101 habits. Got or not?????

What I really wanna put in my Out of Office message - "SCREW YOU GUYS! I'M GOING HOME!"
