Tut said something like "You can kinda expect when ah xia will change phone. She won't change phone out of the blue, like ah bit."
So you've got it. Got a new phone cos' my cranky Nokia 6260 likes to restart itself these days. The new phone - Sony Ericsson's Z610i. I'm not exactly celebrating the purchase of the new phone. In fact, I just want to say - KNN.
Yes. KNN. Cos' it cost me $298. I won't spend more than $200 on a bloody phone cos' prices will fall in no time, and then soon you'll see things like $0 with 2-year plan in the papers. Anyway, I wanted to trade-in my Nokia for $100 but the bloody damn software cranked up and now I have to send it to the Nokia service centre before trading it again for cash. KNN.
I bought a Polar heart rate monitor as well. Primarily it's used during the Schwinn spinning classes, so that I can work within my target zone than say, drop dead and die one of these days. Not a bad idea actually to drop dead and die. But nah, I got the watch cos' I was in a bad mood.
It wasn't much of retail therapy cos' I feel more pek chek after all the senseless shopping spree.
Besides the spinning classes, thought the watch would come in handy so that I can time myself for the 2.4km run when training for IPPT. Then I realised it doesn't come with stopwatch function. KNN. What kind of digital watch these days don't come with stopwatch function?! I bet even my nephew's watch come with stopwatch function! KNN!
EL said I can take his Polar instead. By the time I reached the VO2 max settings in the bloody watch, I feel like throwing it out of the window already. Wanted to go jogging initially but after the bloody phone and the bloody VO2 settings, I think my heart rate is almost equivalent to a 15-min jog already. KNN.
Things didn't start off well for buying of rings. We went to Lee Hwa @ PS the other day to purchase wedding bands. KNN. One stupid salesgirl served us.
Me : I'm looking for a wedding band from the Destinee range. It's made of rose gold and has a layer of white gold on top, and a diamond stud in the centre.
Moron : Oh. You hold on. I check. [She went off, and I wondered what the heck she wants to check since all the wedding bands are displayed right before us.]
Me : [Calls after her] Why don't you pass me the catalogue and I show you the design.
Moron : Wait har. I check.
Me : [I look through the display and saw it, and called out to Moron] It's here. No need the catalogue already.
Moron : Ohhh. This one. [Promptly flipped the pages of the catalogue and proudly showed me the ring in the catalogue. Then she took the ring out of the display.] You hold on. I check.
Me : [Turned to EL impatiently and asked him "WHAT THE HELL SHE WANTS TO CHECK THIS TIME?!]
Moron returned after some time with another colleague, with a bundle of rings.
Moron : You try the size first [Then pass me the entire bundle of rings]
At this juncture, I wanted to hurl some nasty feedback (if not vulgarities) on her level of customer service and intelligence. Anyway, I ought to be more gracious cos' shldn't buying wedding bands be a happy occasion? Tried the bands and found one that fit awkwardly.
[Me holding up the entire bundle of rings with one in my finger]
Me : [Fed up.] Excuse me. Can you take out the ring? I can't feel the fit of the ring with all these rings hanging like this.
Moron looked lost for a moment and turned to look at her colleague.
Colleague : [Speaking in mandarin to Moron] You see har. This is the size of the ring [pointing to the one on my finger], then you check the ones in the display and let her try the same size.
I don't care whether she's new or what. Don't waste my time and test my patience as they try to give her on-job-training while I'm buying a fucking ring! Moron looked around the display and found a ring and handed it to me. I tried the ring and it didn't really fit well. I passed the bundle of rings to EL and told him to try. He found a size and the colleague took down our sizes.
Colleague : I call other shops and check whether got size or not. Then I bring over.
Me : [to EL] Do you want to look around for other rings first?
EL : Sure sure. [He really don't give a shit about rings actually]
So the colleague took down our contact no and said he'll call when the rings are here. He called EL today. I told EL to tell the guy to go fly kite. $1200 a ring with this kind of service. These morons should just eat shit and die.
Already very agitated leowz. Too pek chek to carry on with the story on the proposal ring. KNN.
